How to use it

1. Calculate area per tile: 0.30m x 0.30m = 0.09m² per tile
2. Calculate tiles without waste: 25m² ÷ 0.09m² = 278 tiles
3. Apply 10% waste: 278 x 1.10 = 306 tiles
4. Calculate boxes: 306 ÷ 8 = 38.25 → 39 boxes

Common mistakes

• ⚠️ Not accounting for cutting waste (10% straight lay, 15% diagonal)
• ⚠️ Not verifying all boxes are from the same batch (color variation risk)
• ⚠️ Not planning starting tile position to optimize edge cuts

Worked example

Calculate boxes of 30x30cm ceramic tiles for a 25m² floor (8 pieces per box).
