How to use it

1. Calculate wall volume: 5m x 2m x 0.40m = 4m³
2. Calculate stone: 4m³ x 0.75 = 3m³ of stone approximately
3. Calculate mortar: 4m³ x 350 kg/m³ = 1400 kg of mortar
4. Allow 15-20% mortar for filling joints

Common mistakes

• ⚠️ Not selecting suitably sized stones (they must interlock)
• ⚠️ Using too much mortar (stone should bear on stone)
• ⚠️ Not placing larger stones at corners and base

Worked example

Calculate materials for a stone masonry wall 5m x 2m with 40cm thickness.

Wall of {vol_m3} m³ requires {piedra_kg} kg of stone, {mortar_m3} m³ of mortar and {cement_sacos} bags of cement.
