How to use it

  1. Multiply 5m × 3m = 15m² surface area
  2. Multiply 15m² × 0.20m = 3m³ concrete volume
  3. Calculate materials: 3m³ × 7 bags/m³ = 21 bags of cement
  4. Calculate sand: 3m³ × 0.65 = 1.95m³ of sand
  5. Calculate gravel: 3m³ × 0.90 = 2.70m³ of gravel

Common mistakes

  • ⚠️ Using insufficient thickness (less than 15cm) which can cause cracking under load
  • ⚠️ Not accounting for 5-10% waste from spills and leveling
  • ⚠️ Confusing cubic meters with square meters when ordering concrete

Worked example

Calculate concrete needed for a foundation slab 5m long by 3m wide with 20cm thickness.

The calculated volume of {volumen} m³ requires {cement_sacos} bags of cement, {sand_m3} m³ of sand and {gravel_m3} m³ of gravel for a standard strength mix.
