How to use it
- Calculate area: 6m x 4m = 24m²
- Calculate volume: 24m² x 0.25m = 6m³ of concrete
- Calculate cement: 6m³ x 7 bags/m³ = 42 bags
- Calculate steel: 6m³ x 120 kg/m³ = 720 kg of steel
- Calculate aggregates: 6m³ x 0.55 = 3.30m³ sand, 6m³ x 0.80 = 4.80m³ gravel
Common mistakes
- ⚠️ Underestimating the steel density required for critical structural elements
- ⚠️ Not verifying that minimum concrete cover for steel reinforcement is 3-4cm
- ⚠️ Forgetting that reinforced concrete requires proper vibration for compaction
Worked example
Calculate materials for a reinforced concrete slab 6m x 4m with 25cm thickness and steel density of 120 kg/m³.
For {volumen} m³ of reinforced concrete you need {cement_sacos} bags of cement, {sand_m3} m³ of sand, {gravel_m3} m³ of gravel and {acero_kg} kg of steel reinforcement.
Input guide
| Field | Typical range |
|---|---|
